Nissan has just unveiled its new 2010 370Z Roadster model at the New York Auto Show. The car is based on the current model of 370Z Coupe that came out in January. The new seductive styled Z Roadster is more classic open-air sports car driving excitement.
The 2010 370Z Roadster stil shares the same engine as the 370Z which runs a 3.7 liter V6 that develops 332 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. The Roadster version comes with two new advanced transmissions, a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic. Driver can use paddle shifters or the shift lever for quick manual like shifting for the 7-speed automatic.
The 370Z Roadster top features a fabric inner liner which makes quality appearance and reduces the noise intrusion into the cabin, and comes with a glass rear window which can be lowered or raised from inside and outside of the car. It takes about 20 seconds to fold under a body-colored steel tonneau. The top can be operated through a button on the outside on the door handle.
The new Z Roadster will offer in two models, 370Z Roadster and 370Z Touring Roadster. Both of them come with a choice of seven exterior colors which are Solid Red, Magnetic Black, Brilliant Silver, Platinum Graphite, Pearl White, Monterey Blue and Black Cherry (premium color). The Touring model has extras features such as heated and cooling leather-appointed power nets seats and entertainment and navigation features. For the Touring models, two seperate packages are offered - Sport package and Navigation package. The Sport package features 19-inch wheels, larger sport brakes system, SynchroRev Match (with the manual transmission), and a viscous limited-slip differential. whereas the navigation system gets you navigation and an upgraded sound system with a 9.3-gig hard drive and USB connectivity.
Nissan 370Z Roadster will go on sale at the end of summer and pricing has not been revealed yet but we’re assuming $35,000 for normal roadster and $40,000 for the Touring package. More details after the jump.
