Images of new Mercedes facelifted S63 and S65 AMG sedans have been leaked on the web. There’s not much information has been released but some info has been unleashed by Mercede’s own German language site.
The S 63 AMG uses the 6.2 liter V8 producing 518hp (386KW) 630Nm of torque, fitted to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC transmission and costs is around 144,823 Euros in long wheelbase form. The S 65 AMG comes with a V12 engine which produces 604hp (450kW) and 738lb-ft (1,000Nm) of torque and it costs a lot more expensive than the S 63 AMG which is 221,221 Euros onwards. All the twists it uses a 5-speed automatic transmission instead of the 7-speed unit found in the S63 because the 5-speed can only cope with the twisting forces.
Both the S63 and S65 AMG sedans will be revealed at the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show which is held later this month. Stay tuned for more info after the auto show.
